I washed and sterilised after every use. Brought the steam steriliser (cheaper smaller one) to work and left it there for the 4 months that I pumped at work. The nursing room had a sink, so I washed it and put the stuff in the steriliser after every use, except for the pump just before going home. There were too many people sharing the fridge, so I didn’t just want to put my pump parts in there. I’d turn on the steriliser then go off and do my work, then come back to it when I next needed to pump. When people asked what it was (very often), sometimes I told them the truth, sometimes I told them rice cooker, and sometimes facial steamer 😁
I did sterilizing at work because bringing the stuff back to wash and sterilize while taking care of your baby is a chore in itself. So I used handsfree pump at work and keep the parts all at work I charge at work. For sterilizing, I used to put in hot water and dry it on a rack but since it took too much time, I bought a uv and drying bag made for sterilizing bottles and pump parts for it. Makes things so much easier
I don't sterilize at work. I will put the parts in an airtight container and into the fridge straight after use then bring home to sterilize at the end of the day.
No. I put them straight in ziplock bag or wet bag and keep in the fridge. Only wash and sterilize at the end of the day when i get home. I pump 3 times at work
Nope. After pump I put pump parts inside airtight container and put in office fridge. After second pump I’ll wash at home.
No, I would keep the pumping parts in the air tight bag in the fridge and will sterilize it after coming back home
