i'm advised by a few mom-friends not to get spring cot as it'll be difficult to put baby to sleep on a stationary object. personally i don't wanna give myself extra problems to deal with. hahah their babies sleep well without spring cots. as for the flat head issues, you can get head-shaping pillows or simply rub the baby's head during the first month. only the mom can do the rubbing of baby's head.

i didnt rub head etc, dont gv baby pillow till the age of 2yrs old to prevent flathead. my baby doesnt have flathead. my baby will ownself change her head facing while sleeping oso

I let my baby slp in yaolan during nap time then night time sleep in baby cot. U will have difficulty make baby slp during the hot weather in the afternoon.. put baby in yaolan will make baby sleep better coz it’s more comfortable and cooling in the afternoon. Flathead is unless u let ur baby slp straight all the time.. since birth let baby head turn left or right slp.

hi! I think you should get a baby cot! yaolan should not be a permanent space for baby to rest because it's not good for the structural development of your baby's body. besides, it might be difficult for baby to get used to sleeping on a non-moving space if he/she has been in a yaolan for a prolonged period. a cot does not necessary cause flathead too.

Second this. With baby cot you can train baby to sleep by himself too. My baby has been sleeping on his cot since newborn. No flathead. I put him to sleep on his side and change alternate side every 15-20 mins. Been using this method since my firstborn.

just use a normal baby cot, train the baby to sleep on cot since young is better. my baby till now (8mths old) able to sleep by herself. and she doesnt hv flat head, cos i dont gv pillow. i just put a clothe on her bed to prevent she spit on bedsheet. i also did a research, baby below 2yrs old better not to use pillow to prevent flathead :)

Hi mama, personally i don’t think the two are perfect substitutes for each other. Yaolan is to put baby to sleep and a cot is for sleeping. Better to see if you really need a yaolan. Otherwise the choice is between a cot and a co-sleeper :)

Have to get both… bb can nap in yaolan but at night best to sleep in cot ya
