Near to edd

Hi all, do you all stay alone at home nearer to your edd? Or is ur husband or parents accompanying you? Please share your experience :) I am currently staying alone in Singapore with my husband and all my families are not in Singapore... Kinda worried.. What if the pain appears when I am alone and husband is not at home.

Hi dear:) you don’t need to worry because when the pain starts, at first it’ll be very infrequent.. maybe once every few hours, then gradually once an hour, then once every half an hour, once in 15 minutes, once in 10 minutes, then once in 5 minutes and so on. Because this is Singapore, your husband should definitely be able to reach home by the time your contractions are regular:) I was okay while being alone without my husband. And I could tell when I was going into labour, so he had a good heads up. Just make sure your husband’s always contactable and your hospital is all ready. In the unlikely situation that your contractions are 1 in 5 minutes, you’re in severe pain and you really can’t contact anyone, just dial 995 and get the ambulance to take you to the hospital. Do note the ambulance will take you to the nearest public hospital that has gynae facilities.

Yeap, i was on leave and stayed home alone at home. Hubby told me that if anything happens, just call him and he will rush home from work. Fortunately for me, we went to the hospital at midnight as i wasnt able to sleep due to my contractions. Since u are all alone, would advise you to prepare ur hospital bag. So that during emergency, just grab and go hospital. If in any case that u gave birth at home, just dial for the ambulance.

I’m staying home since I was pregnant as I used to be self-employed. I enjoy staying home but I do go out with my mum or friends for lunch once in a while. Hubby will be working till near to my EDD. Planning for mil to come over around 2-3 weeks before EDD to accompany me and help out, while awaiting for baby’s arrival, and she’ll be helping out with my confinement also.

I’ll be working all the way. If there’s any signs, it’ll take a while before baby is out. So while I can go home to have a shower and eat something, I’ll inform my hubby so that he can make necessary arrangements to join me either at home to go hospital or go hospital directly.

I’ll be alone at home, resting and catching up on reading and the K-drama that the Husband doesn’t watch. If anything, I will actually call the doc first.

I prefer to go out and walk walk.. Before u are cooped at home forever 😁😁😁

If you were to induce, you’d be in hospital already when the contraction starts
