Baby becomes Super whiny

Hi all, my son just turned 1 year old, a week ago and suddenly became extremely attached to his mother. He is very whiny and would cry when my wife leaves his sight for even brief moments. Also, we are expecting our second child (we tested positive a month ago). Our parents in law shared (could be folks tales) that my son is whiny because he could sense that he is having a sibling soon. Just want to know if anyone encounter something like this?

That’s interesting. I wasn’t like your Son when I know I was going to have a brother. But your in-laws might be right, as he could be worried that the second child is going to get more attention than him

I heard from my in laws abt this folk saying. 1st child sudden whiny or clingy cos thy sensed they goin to hv another silbings 🤣

Yes its true. Kids can sense. All my kids were like that super clingy and would whine when im not at sight.
