Recently I came across a concept called neutral parenting, as in in initial couple of years of life we shall allow children to make their own choices and not influence them in any manner, give them both kind of choices and even then if he choses to play with dolls or barbies i think it's ok.

It's so important to allow them to play freely when they're young. They are forming their own personality and should be allowed to do so without imposing gender stereotypes upon them. So, by all means, let them play with dolls if they enjoy it. :)

Barbies are not only for girls, ken is a boy- so why segregate stereotypes from the start? Yes, avoid barbie obsessions with boys because you don't want them to be caught between bullies but don't be the bully

I would avoid exposing a baby boy just to dolls and barbies, to prefer a mix a toys with different stereotypes attached to them, so that they get a better sense of the diversity of the world they live in

Let the child decide what he wants to play with. Don't enforce your "grown up" thinking on your child. Anyways, most of the real issues in the world are because of "grown ups" and not kids :)

I think children in general should be exposed to a variety of recreational activities. Toys of all kinds are cool. Sports with no gender bias would be my recreational preference though.

For me, I choose to expose my child to all toys that are available, blue, pink, dolls, trucks no matter what their gender is. Then it's up to the child to decide what they prefer :)

I choose to raise my kids free from such gender stereotypes. I let them play with whatever they are drawn to be it dolls, barbies, trucks or any type of recreational sports.

It depends on the childs liking what he feels happy to play with. So if baby boy like the doll or barbie to play with then not an issue.
