My baby is 1 year old now. He seems to prefer Asian food to Western. But I am getting sick of the usual soupy dishes for him. Any other Asian meal ideas for him?

How about begedil(s) aka Malay potato patties? I remember loving those when I was young and my late grandma often fed them to my baby cousins. This recipe I found is pretty healthy, they boil the potatoes instead of frying before mashing and you can choose to omit the minced beef and replace it with chicken or just have the begedil plain. Also, you can bake the patties instead of frying them. http://www.food.com/recipe/begedil-malaysian-deep-fried-potato-patty-356439

These blogs offers a lot of Asian meal recipes for toddlers like fried rice, fried bee hoon, stewed ee-fu noodles. Actually, you can just modify your own meals for children. That way, you don't need to cook two separate meals. Just omit the salt and seasoning for your child's meal and use natural flavouring instead (chicken stock, ikan bilis & soybeans, etc) http://food-4tots.com/all-recipes/ http://simplymommie.com/food-for-kids
