Infant care or helper?
Hi mummies, I’m not sure which one I should go for. Infant care is $2k++ as my baby is a foreigner and helper not very sure. I have trust issues and I feel hard to let someone taking care of my baby, but I have to work. ?Pls advise me...
I prefer infant care, but you have to check out the centre and make sure the infant care teachers are the hands-on kind, ie. they have teacher assistance that are usually caring aunties. The infant care experience I had was very good, even could take care of my girl with eczema and really emphatize with her itch and scratchingRead more
Can advise which Center do you go to?
Hi, helper is definitely cheaper by half of the price. However I will prefer infant care than helper as I feel insecure to left my baby alone with helper. But in infant care at least there are many teachers around and many pair of eyes there to help taking care of your baby.
Hi all thanks for your reply!! But we don’t have immediate family here in Sg. I have trust issues so I’m really struggling :-(
I checked MFS it’s probably cheapest and nearest to our place $2k
I feel infant care is better
I'll go with infant care
Hi, I would suggest go for infant care and take the help of family members. You can still keep looking for helper whom you can trust in due course of time.
Infant care is better
I would suggest, don’t get a helper while taking care of a baby who jz started working. At least get to know helper’s “characters & personality ” first. If you really have no choice, firm rules w helper + a CCTV or helper + a CCTV + have immediate family members come cover at your house on weekdays till you come back. You need to keep all your important belongings somewhere else. No cash / jewellery at home etc Or Infant care / weekdays nanny ( someone you can trust ) / immediate family membersRead more
I'm also facing the same issues.. Still thinking :(
