you can consider getting soup herbs from your local tcm shops. i got mine from hock hua (not sponsored, wish i was lol). they also can advise what herbs to use for red date tea (red dates, goji, dang shen, longan etc) my CL prepared red date tea on the diluted side so i don't feel heaty at all, on e contrary my hubs prepared it once, added too much longans and i immediately felt heaty LOL. alternatively, can consider confinement tingkat so ur mum can have more energy to care for your newborn

U can drink water during confinement but have it hot or warm. U need it to boost ur milk supply too, in addiction to longan red date tea. Try to minimize adding sugar to the cooking especially if u have gestational diabetes during pregnancy. Recommended food are green papaya fish soup, black vinegar trotters, sesame oil cooked pork slices.

My mom's gonna do my confinement too. Its best not to drink water cos ltr water retention. And yes if can, stick to drinking the red dates for the whole confinement, if boiled properly it taste sweet actually. Not sure if salt and sugar not supposed to, but my mom's pig trotters vinegar is very delicious. Hehe

Hi... my mum did my confinement. And I’m only allowed to drink red dates water and a bit of plain water. I’m also sharing with you some local confinement food recipes. I hope you’ll find it useful. https://sg.theasianparent.com/local-confinement-food-recipes

hi.. my hub cook for my confinement food too. no salt, soya sauce, and sugar. really use ingredients to bring the flavour. my mum said it is important to eat clean.. so to detox and cleanse our body..

Water is important if you are breastfeeding. Too much red date tea is heaty. I drank lots of plain water, as long as its not cold.
