Hello! I had bleeding for about 2 more weeks after starting duphaston at 6+ weeks! Gynae then also still told me to continue taking it till end of first tri :) She says its to help make the lining support baby better. I know its hard. I was stressing all the way until the end of first tri and even after that I would always be checking for any bleeding after I use the toilet. Perhaps talk to your husband/close friends about it? I always talked to my husband whenever I was having doubts (esp after googling so much nonsense, please do not use google and scare youself!!), and i think it helps to lighten the mental load. And yes its good that you are trying to distract yourself with something else! Do continue to do so :) Jiayou mummy 💪🏻 hang in there, wishing you all the best :)
I'm going to be a first tims mum too, now at week 26. I had this issue during my first trimester as well, bleeding a few times and there was once where i even bled for a whole week. The clot was visible in my ultrasound scan, but i was assured that the body would absorb it back. I think you should just continue to take care of yourself, don't put too much pressure (physically and mentally). Different people experience pregnancy different, just monitor for a few more days and see a doctor again if you're still experiencing pain, blood clots have become firmer and/or have an increased/darker bleeding. All the best ❤️
Hi Dear! Thanks for taking your time to reply. For my case the doctor couldnt find any blood clot i made it a point to ask she said nothing of that sort was visible. Its still a mystery to why am i bleeding. Its like not full blown period just spotting with blood, its not diluted. Thanks dear, im planning to see a private doc in a clinic after my 2 weeks of medication is over. I will monitor and see if the bleeding eventually stop.. hopefully. I feel very light back pain and discomfort which i have since the time i found out i was pregnant. Now it just comes and go. Thanks again, god bless you and your little one! Wish u a smooth pregnancy ! Take care
Previously i had bleeding in my first trimester due to a tear (shopped whole day). Then my gynae gave me duphaston and because i tot it became brown blood but didnt clear yet so i went back to gynae. Gynae did a vagina scan and that night, i bled and had huge blood clots. Managed to reach my gynae and he was stunned as well and told me to either go to private hosp or go kkh or any hosp as they will jab my butt. Heartbeat was ok and a&e said it was normal to pass huge blood clot (which i cannot understand!). Took quite a couple of weeks before everything cleared…
A&e wise i went nuh. Haha. :)
Hi, had the same experience during my first and second trimester, both times was prescribed with duphaston 3 times a day, injected with progesterone, and one week mc to bedrest. Gynae mentioned that the bleeding will continue for about a week, but thankfully it stopped after 4-5 days. For now, you should try to lie down as much as possible, move only when needed (eat and toilet) and try to be positive. I know it’s not easy but stress won’t do you and baby any good. All will be well :) Praying for you and your baby!
I actually tried but my company not that understanding. I've decided to switch job which has wfh option so at least I can be comfortable . I see.. I have been monitoring there's always a mixture ..I'm praying for it to stop soon. Thank you so much.. trying my best to divert my thoughts and be positive. thank u again for replying.❤❤❤
i had spotting in my first tri but my gynae was able to identify slivers of bleeding in my uterus contributing to the spotting. however, in week 14, i had bleeding and i went to a&e. the gynae couldn't see any bleeding in my uterus so she sent me for a detailed scan. the detailed scan showed that i have cervical polyps. any chance u can request for a detailed scan so hopefully they can identify cause of bleeding? if anything, it'll help put ur mind at ease.
oh, just to add, i was given duphaston as well due to the spotting.
my first baby no bleeding, but my 2nd pregnancy i had bleeding on and off 2 to 3 days straight each time about 1 to 2 tbsp fresh red blood ...im in my 2nd semester baby still doing well. Doc couldnt explain the reason for bleeding as well. Just monitor urself if you start to feel sharp pain with bleeding than go hospital straight if not just monitor and go for all appt and do let the doc know as well
thanks dear.. i was also very worried when i first started bleeding just hang in there and pray. ❤❤
hi I know how stressful that can be as I've been in the same situation! I was still spotting on and off even on duphaston but the doc said not to panic as it's not uncommon in the 1st trimester. subsequently he prescribed me utrogestan which he thinks is better and I haven't been spotting since I took it a week ago. maybe you can ask about it in your next visit? all the best and stay positive!
hi! thank you so much for sharing I'm glad you're out of that situation. My next appointment is next month around 22nd of Oct. hopefully after my 2 weeks prescription it gets better if not I can see a gp right or get utrogestan from polyclinic? Thanks again ❤❤❤
Week 6, have been spotting for 1.5 weeks now but baby is fine. Dr said its hard to tell where all the brown discharge is coming from, it's just a waiting game. Did a blood test but wasnt prescribed with anything... im just gonna wait and trust baby to grow well.
I hope so.. thank you darl! god bless... hugs :(
My spottings stopped after 4 days of the dhupston. Doc said the progesterone helps to support my pregnancy.. I’m on 2 weeks supply, so far so good
juri.. I lose my baby today. please pray for me. god bless you for replying me and giving me the hope I needed. hugs. lots of love to you and your little one.
