I've been asked whether I will take maternity leave earlier than my EDD to rest. Just wondering among mummies, what may be the pros and cons? And is it necessary to take a rest before the delivery?

I requested to work from home two weeks before my EDD.. and worked all the way until the night before I popped.. haha. Reason because I do not want to waste my ML when we wouldn’t know exactly when LO would arrive.. So check in with your supervisor.
