Maternity Leave before EDD

I've been asked whether I will take maternity leave earlier than my EDD to rest. Just wondering among mummies, what may be the pros and cons? And is it necessary to take a rest before the delivery? Thanks!

can request for hospitalization leave before the EDD, if your gynae approved

It’s up to you. I worked till the day I needed to give birth

You could take one week leave to rest and prepare

I planning to take 1 week before EDD.

Taking 2 weeks in advance to rest

I'm taking 2 weeks in advance. My gynae does not give HL.
