No. Do let your child develop at his own pace. There are milestones at each month for children to meet, and standing is usually a milestone for 11 month olds. Is your baby able to sit up unassisted? If not, why are you trying to make him stand? Standing comes after crawling. You could hold him up in a standing position but he should always be supported. http://www.babycentre.co.uk/x1048872/when-will-my-baby-stand http://sg.theasianparent.com/baby-at-12-months-milestone-checklist-for-proper-baby-development/
Agree with Jamie. My son also loves to "stand" but that would mean one of us would have to constantly support him lol. He hates sitting and would start leaning back on anything and anyone if we try to make him sit and when it comes to crawling... he would just lay his head down and sigh if we try to tempt him to move with his favourite toy.
Ny daughter does the same thing
My neighbor's son started to stand at early age has developed problem in his legs, i.e. the legs bent and need physiotherapy to correct. As babies' bones are still soft when they are young, please do not let baby stand before they are ready.

I feel it’s too early. Is there a reason you want to train your LO to stand at this age? Babies will learn to walk and stand naturally when their muscles have developed. 4mo is more on crawling / belly time?
Way too early. Besides, the legs are still developing. Give it time. Baby will stand by himself.
Masyadong maaga, mas magandang hintayin mo na lang na magsarili siyang tumayo.
Do not force them mommy. Time will come. Just enjoy them being a baby
thanks
No, it's not yet mommy, it's too early
