as we are in different cities i have never had them over to baby sit. the only times we did ask for their help was when i was hospitalized due to certain reasons and there was no one to look after the kids at home.
after delivery, ofcourse parents and in-laws only take care both mom and baby. after 6month if mom isn't feeling well or baby have any problem then they will care it.
My parents babysit when my boys are sick or whenever we wanna go out for date as we are staying near too. No hard n fast rule for us as we also need our own US time
Not really babysit but bring my LO over almost Everyday to build the bond. Then easy to get your parents or in laws to cover your duty anytime. :)
My mom lives with us and she takes care of the baby while we work. My mother in law visits every month and usually stays with us for 2-3days.
Whenever they want and when needed? That is provided i have a choice. Otherwise i would do everything else in my own. Better that way.
If possible, once fortnightly. On weekends, they can bond with the grandparents. Hubby and I can have free time for a date.
As often as possible. They really love doing this and as a couple we've agreed to make their apos spend time with them.
We usually drop off our baby with our maid at my parents house before work or whenever we want to take a "2-hr date"
Being in different cities, I never had to ask either my parents or in-laws to babysit my kids.
