How do you handle relatives (both sides) asking for financial help?

You have to consider the reason, the status, and your relationship with that relative who is asking for financial help. It's definitely okay to share if we are able to. However, we want to avoid people who might take advantage of the situation and do the act repeatedly just because we have entertained them once. Trust your gut feel as well. You know these people much better, and you know how to deal with them when that time comes.
