I believe that all schools are good and special in their own ways and alot of the student's success is based on the student. For "neighbourhood" schools, if I live in an area that has a school with a good reputation, that would be great. If not, I'd go for a school that's newly built and young in years -- newer schools tend to have lesser expectations put on them by parents in general and have better facilities, so I believe that kids will have a better time thriving and excelling. To me, the most important factor in choosing a primary school would be distance. I do not want my young child to have to travel so much everyday just to go to a particular school. They can aim for "better" schools when they are older and are more adept in traveling alone. As for the second part of the question, not too sure if you are referring to the charges and fees for primary school enrolment or something else. I've attached this MOE link that has FAQs and hopefully, it will make it easier for you to the answer needed :) https://www.moe.gov.sg/faq/education/school-fees-faq

Based on what criteria do u all admit in the school.

What most of my friends did was to visit the school during their open houses (if they conduct any) and have a tour. They often consider the environment (whether it "feels" good to them, e.g., is there ample space for children to play) and take a look at the facilities the school has. If possible, they would also speak to the principal and any teachers available to find out a little about how the school work is structured. Some also considered the CCAs offered if they have a few schools in mind. It really depends on what criteria you have in mind and which aspect you feel is important for your child.

Ic thanks you
