You can talk to your husband and make him understand that there's no competition between him and the lolo. Grandparents are just too loving to their grandchildren, and he must be thankful for that. You can instead think of ways to improve the closeness of the daddy and the daughter. They should have their distinct activities/bonding that only the two of them can do, so the daughter would also be able to build a special memory with her dad without comparing him to any other man.

Maybe you could try to bring to light how valuable the relationship between your daughter and her lolo is to your kid. Then your husband may be inclined to develop a similar bond with your daughter. Daughters are always going to love and adore their fathers, sometimes it just takes work to cultivate that daddy-daughter relationship!
