There are essentially two types of inhalers. We have the reliever and the preventer. The reliever will open up the constricted airways while the preventer treats the inflammation of the airways that occurs in an asthma. Your primary care physician could be your family doctor. They should be able to prescribe and treat the asthma. However, if the condition is not well-controlled, then please seek a specialist's assessment.
