Hello mummies, how much weight did you lose since you have given birth and how Long does it take to lose all of pregnancy weight gain?

My baby is 2.5kg however when I got home after delivery and weighed myself I had only lost 1.5kg? Is that even possible?

Hey there, let us not be too fixated and stressed about bouncing back. Getting back to our pre-baby sizes has been too sensationalized and popularized by social media. When I went home, I weighed myself and too was shocked, I had a 3.2kg son and the scale read 61.4kg (was 64.3kg at the last weigh in). Let us all take care of our mental and physical health, and after all, stress might affect our milk production. 2 days after delivery, I had a photoshoot and my belly was still protruding out like it was a 24 weeks pregnancy. I did not want the thoughts and worries of how I’d look to consume me and just appreciate the fact that I had just given birth and it was a safe home for my healthy baby. I decided to memorialize and thank my tummy for carrying my baby well to full term.

Was around 55 after gaining about 7kg before giving birth and lost it by the time i weighed myself at home. Went down to 42kg after 1 plus month as was a bit stressed. Then went up and stabilised at 45kg now. When i was 42 i was so hungry all the time, especially right after pumping where I must have something to eat immediately. Took a few months to normalise and was thankfully ok. Ate till I was full but had poor appetite during pregnancy. Postpartum only BF and didn't exercise or diet.

Eating appropriately during pregnancy is super impt. Eat food to gain bb weight but not to mummy. I had a strict control diet with just meat, veg and some carbo by instructions from gynae due to my borderline GI.. total weight gain 8.5kg. Lost almost 6kg immediately after delivery with flatten tummy. I week pp lost back everything. 3 mth pp lost another 3kg due to breastfeed. Bf as much as u can, eat appropriately at the same time.. gain nutrients but wont gain weight...

I was 71kg when before delivery. Upon returning home, I was 67kg; baby was 3kg. After 7days of post natal massage, I am at 61kg. Usually there's water retention so might take a few days before your weight gradually decrease.

I know what you mean, I was also surprised I didn't lose much after I delivered! I managed to return to my prepreg weight after 6 months. Was quite diligent at breastfeeding. Didn't exercise at all. Jiayou!!

Hi! My LO also about 2.5kg at birth. Total I gained 14kg, after delivery I lost 6kg, 3-months PP another 3kg, 9-months PP 13kg. I heard that bf helps, because bm are calories too, from mommies ourselves 😊

I was 53.5kg when I went to hospital for labour and came home to 49.2kg then lost weight to 46kg during confinement and increased back to 47kg after confinement and remained stagnant till now.

Super Mum

I’ve lost 15kg over 6 months. That’s more than I gained during pregnancy Hmm there might be an issue with your weighing scale? 😅

I gained almost 20kg during pregnancy and lost less than 4kg after birth. Baby weighted 2.5kg too. After 6-7months pp, I lost about 15kg.

I did all the house chores myself and taking care of baby full-time. moving up and down all the time was enough for me to burn the excess fat.. plus exercise and skipped meals sometimes. don't worry so much. your body took so long to expand, sure it needs some times to slim down too.

Gain 24kg, loose 7kg when given the birth. Total loose 14kg after 6 months. Dont know how to loose the rest, the weight stuck😥
