Helper shares food

Would you allow your helper to share food with your child? I saw a helper taking a bite of a banana and then fed the kid she was looking after.. and they took turn eating the same banana. I’m wondering if it is something that would concern you.

I am mixed on this. My helper is very close to my daughter and we treat her like family, so in that case, I don’t see it as an issue. If it’s a new helper I probably would not like it

No, i would not allow... if she wants to share she can cut a portion for her to eat. But not sharing saliva. Or perhaps not infront of me. Lucky my helper doesn’t do that. 😊

No, I would not encourage that. PD has even advised me not to share or finish my child’s food because that is when viruses spread the fastest.

No. It unhygienic. Saliva contains a lot of germs which might be passed to your lo whose immunity is much weaker.

Definitely no. It’s quite unhygienic. U can prepare the food in smaller portions to prevent wastage or sharing.
