13week 2nd pregnancy

hello mummies! isit just me or i get worst nasal congestion at night? sometimes it gets so hard to breathe and had difficulty sleeping 😭 also, it seems so early for me to get fluid retention this time. 1st pregancy @ over 34weeks then will get. now only 13weeks so heavy and swollen already 😭😭😭 this pregnancy so depressing as i have to rush alot of my work and also settle my firstborn 😖😖😖

I had nasal congestion too. I used saline nose drops for nasal congestion during pregnancy

2nd pregnancy delivery

hello mummies! had my 1st appt last week and was confirmed 12weeks pregnant. doctor was concerned about this 2nd pregnancy as i had a 3rd degree tear for my 1st delivery in 2020. he then referred me to specialist to check the area muscle in 3 weeks time. was told if my anus and around that area muscle is weak, may need to opt for c-sect realised i cant sit long enough or my anus will feel abit pain but not so sure bc i work office based and sit quite alot (im small built hence my butt no enough cushion 😅 and feel this even before this 2nd pregnancy) 1st delivery: normal assisted delivery (vacuum) / epi / 40+1 weeks / induced for 23hrs and pushed for 2hrs / 3rd degree tear qns is, any mummies same situation as me and still managed to go for normal delivery? :( #pleasehelp #advicepls #pregnancy #worried

Remember that a cesarean is a major procedure and should only be turned to when there’s a real threat to baby or mummy’s health and well-being. I would recommend that you do listen and consider the options the specialist and your doctor gives. At the same time, find ways to ensure that the tear doesn’t occur again for your 2nd birth. There are many ways to this such as - perineal massages at 37 weeks onwards - explore different birthing positions instead of only being on your back I have mummy friends that have pushed 4kg babies and 4.5kg babies out, with no medical interventions and unassisted. Trust your body will provide a safe passage for your baby’s birth. All the best! Hope this helps :)

2yo LO caught covid, day 2

i am planning to send my daughter to kkh a&e as she has not been eating and drinking her usual, not even 20% from her usual. what do i bring along, other than her BC , health booklet and CDA card?

I wouldn’t advise going to KKH a&e unless it’s very serious and require admission. Apparently the wait is crazy long and medical staff is over stretched. Is your daughter still alert and active? If she is, continue to offer food and fluids. Give her things she like to eat. If you still want to bring her to KKH, just bring her BC and CDA should be sufficient

11week preg with 2yo and c19+

im tested c19 +ve , 11 weeks preg and have a 2yo girl. no one is able to help me takecare of my 2yo, not even her daddy bc no knowledge at all, other than change diapers and feed meals and make milk. howhowhow!!??? currently isolated far from her sleep area and im wearing face mask all the time. (we're living in 1room flat) dont tell me ask daddy to learn how to take care of her bc i never let her shower her or other things. i do SA prevention for my girl as i myself was a SA victim to my own dad.

hi mummies. my baby is only 1month old plus. i realised my hubs have bad habits with sleep schedule that causes our girl to cry alot at random timing. so recently while he was away for few nights for work, did a sleep schedule test for my girl. she feeds every 2-3hrs so i tried to fit in with the schedule. it WORKED as my girl is able to sleep thruout the night with little to zero cries (unless she poopoo?) sooooo i told my hubs abt it and he said that our girl is too young for any sleep schedule. i was like hmm true but need to start somewhere so that she and us can have a rest mah. he said dont need.i was like ok lor up to you. isit wrong for me to put the sleep schedule (not strict/flexible) in place? ? i felt that my girl milestones are quite fast as observed so putting schedule in will be good. i also realised that i managed to get 1.5-2.5hr nap uninterrupted hahaha

sharp breast pain

day 11 pp and im feeling sudden sharp breast pain on and off. currently ebm to let my nips heal. i pump whenever i feel heavy there. is there anything i should be worried?

I felt sudden sharp pain too when I bf or pump back then. Nth to worry. Maybe it’s the letdown If u feel swollen, red , lump, feverish etc then is breast engorgement Do check armpit have any lump too.

its been day 6 pp. my fluid retention isnt getting better. i drink alot of water and pee whenever. isit normal to still have fluid retention at almost 1 week of pp?

Yes. It doesn’t go away instantly. Mine went away in a month or so.

i just wanna give up breastfeeding ? i feel bad that my partner had to skip many days of work and have to care for me (having 3rd degree tear) and baby keeps demanding bf till my nips got super sore and almost bleed on both. even lactation nurse can't do much. its only 3rd pp ???

Hang in there, I started off not doing right as well that cause alot of year and bleed on nipple.. just try and try after u recover.. nipple cream do helps.. and also find a position your baby suck at best like football position etc.. this also helps to reduce the tear and baby suck happily and u suffer less.. you can do it..

im having this bleeding. not sure if its bloody show anot as its only blood and no mucus. it has been bleeding from little to now like period bleeding, since yesterday after the doctor did the vaginal check. she did said it will bleed abit as she has to stretch it. i also had this super extra tummy pain. the shape of my tummy changed too like super round and low. other than that, my water bag havent break yet. tmr morning (40weeks exact)im supposed to be admitted for induction. not sure what to think or do as the bleeding still continues unexpectedly. :/
