Petite mummy to a milk monster
10month old sudden watery poop
My 10month old babygirl is suddenly pooping about 3 times a day, and it’s watery. Didn’t introduce any new food or drinks recently though. Any mummies experienced this before with their little one? Hard poop one day but watery the next.
Diarrhea... or not?
My 6month old babygirl has been pooping quite frequently lately. Currently mix-feed; direct latch at home and formula milk in infant care. Her doctor at NUH said it’s normal (showed him pictures) but another PD said it’s diarrhoea. She has a tendency of pooping after every feeding or in the middle of feed in IFC. We’ve changed from Enfamil to Isomil but both resulted in the same (poop after feed). Trying Similac Total Comfort now. Any mummies can confirm if this is diarrhoea? Her teachers are concern that it’s not pasty as she has began to start on Cerelac rice. She’s still active as usual though so I’m totally at a lost... kept receiving calls from her teacher while I’m at work and had to bring her back in the middle of the day.
Baby’s odd poop colour
My 5 month old babygirl is currently on mixed feeding; direct latch at home and formula in infant care. Drinking Enfamil in IFC and her teachers commented that she kept pooping after/during her feedings today. After breastfeeding her at home this evening, she pooped an odd pale yellow (?) as in the picture. Can’t figure out if it’s an allergy or due to teething. She also just recovered from a cold over the past week. This is the first she pooped this colour and we’re quite concern. Any thoughts/advice? Will be heading down to see the PD tomorrow nonetheless.
Not drinking enough in Infant Care
My 4-month old babygirl has been in infant care for a week now. She’s hardly drinking milk in school; only 50ml-100ml every 2hrs or so. Only once she drank 120ml/150ml. Her teachers tried increasing but she only drank 50ml yesterday. She’s in infant care from about 9am till 4pm, and her milk feeds are mostly only 3 times per day while there. I breastfeed when at home as she refused to be bottle-fed by me/husband. Kept waking up every <2hrs last night for milk and I direct latch. She naps well in school though. Very worried that she might not be gaining weight properly. Any mummies experienced the same situation, or any advice please?
Direct latch, infant care
Any working mummies here who have been direct latching and had to send LO to infant care before returning to work? My husband and I have been trying to bottle-feed our babygirl (almost 4 months) but she keeps rejecting.. both BM and formula milk. Had changed bottles from Avent to MAM to Hegen, yet no difference.. still prefers direct latch. Any advice? Very worried that she will not drink while in infant care.
Pampers NB diaper to bless
I have a pack of Pampers Premium Care tape diapers (Newborn size, 66pc) to bless. Got it from my colleagues but my babygirl’s bum is sensitive to the brand. Any mummies interested can get in touch with me at [email protected] 😊 To arrange collection/delivery on own expense.
Breastfeeding but having period?
2 months postpartum and suddenly having heavy bleeding (bright red, quite heavy flow). It’s the third day today. Is that my period? I thought it won’t return so soon if one is exclusively breastfeeding, which I am currently. Bleeding had initially stopped after 44 days of giving birth (natural delivery). Should I be worried?
Mixed feeding, no poop; Day 2
Decided to begin giving my 7-weeks babygirl FM (Similac) at night so she can sleep longer and also to get used to FM before starting infant care. Gave 60ml on Wednesday night, pooped a whole lot the next morning but that’s the only time she pooped. Hasn’t pooped anymore since. Is this a concern to bring her to the PD? I have stopped giving FM for now cause worried that she might be constipated, but she seems fine. Still farts and accepts BM as usual. Applied Yu Yee too but still not pooping. Advice please, mummies!
Pink discharge and discomfort
FTM at 38w+6. Had pinkish discharge and loose stools at 2am earlier, and barely slept since then. Extreme discomfort in my tummy when baby stretches (like every hour); tummy felt very hard on one side or even both sides. Is this Braxton Hicks? I suppose they are all signs of labour(?). Not sure if it’s necessary to check in with the hospital now, or should I wait till my next Gynae appointment which is tomorrow?
Mothercare/ Online stores
Any mummies know if Mothercare stores will still be open during this circuit breaker period? Or would it be advisable to just purchase online? Any trustworthy sites to recommend too besides Pupsik Studio? Thanks much!
