- 2018-11-26Whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year, Finnish flag carrier Finnair is flying Santa Claus—straight from his hometown in Rovaniemi—onto our sunny shores of Singapore.
On the afternoons of 7 and 8 December, Santa will pay special visits to the inaugural Nordic-Asia Christmas Festival, where Christmas will come early for the shoppers at Millenia Walk.
Santa will tell a short story, interact with visitors, and give you a little something to take away… Only if you’ve been nice this year!
A special lightwall and bench by the booth will serve as the perfect backdrop for photo opportunities with Santa, while a line-up of kid-friendly activities planned throughout the festival will keep the young ones entertained.
An immersive shopping experience taking place from 3 to 9 December at the main atrium of the mall, the Nordic-Asia Christmas Festival will showcase artisanal and bespoke products flown in exclusively from Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Estonia, with an exclusive VR showcase of ”Virtual Helsinki”.
Here, Finnair will have its own “Finnair Christmas Challenge” video booth, where shoppers are encouraged to answer the question ”What Would You Give Away to Get Away?” and stand to win a pair of tickets to the Nordics.

Held at the OCBC Square, the two-day event is a jolly time for the community to be entertained, engaged and to show support for a good cause.
There will be a series of activities for the family including charity runs, carnival rides, games, inflatable playground, fitness workouts, sports try-outs, film screenings, a festive bazaar as well as stage performances.
You can also be part of the two charity runs held at Sports Hub Community Play Day for a good cause on two consecutive days. They are the B60 Charity Run on 1 December and the Santa Run for Wishes on 2 December.
Fashion for a Social Cause Runway is an inclusive runway show featuring models with special needs and disabilities who are advocating for good causes. Their goal is to make fashion accessible for everyone.
Tune up your festive-meter throughout the day as visitors to the Hub will be entertained by activities such as sports try-outs that includes archery tag, Nerf combat, touch rugby and kin ball; mass fitness workouts such as Fitness marathon by Giordano G-motion; carnival and arcade games; a festive bazaar and the sale of handmade crafts.
Film buffs can enjoy the screenings of short films by local filmmakers – 15 Shorts is a collection of films recounting true stories of giving by exploring topics such as poverty, isolation experienced by the elderly, and inclusive friendship.
