- 2018-11-19My Hb left our matrimonial home in March 2016. And I'm "living" as per normal with my 2 boys. It's been this way since then..already 2 years plus, until recently he texted me and asked to chat amicably regarding our situation.
After remaining status quo for so long, he finally decide he wants a divorce. I expected this outcome long ago, but it somehow still hurts.
I said I will agree to the divorce if he can fulfill my divorce conditions.
1) Joint custody of 2 children but
Care and Control to be given to me
2) Ownership of our current flat, that means I am asking him to transfer all his share in the flat to me, with 0% refund CPF.
We exchanged a few more messages, and in the end he said to continue remain "like that"(he live his life and I with my boys) since he cannot agree to my 2nd condition. He insisted on taking back his CPF that was used to pay for the flat.
Fyi, we have been married for almost 14 years. My reason for the 2nd condition is because I do not have so much $ in my CPF to buy over his share and I would need to take bank loan to pay the remaining sum of money for the flat. He wants a divorce and I need a roof for my boys and me.
Can anyone advise me what is the next step I should take? What can I do now to better safeguard my boys' and my interests? Appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you.

- 2018-11-19I confess. I am almost giving up on searching for happy endings. Had a few losses in the past, first love, bffs, husband, rebounds, second chances... it just doesn’t seem to work out. I stop blaming others and decide to look deep into the mirror thinking that i might the problem. I realised that the flaws that i have is to hard for them to understand let alone accept. Oh trust me i did changed for the better, to be a better wife, a more understanding girlfriend, a reliable bff and problem-free lady but then I realised i am living someone else’s happy ending.
......Where is mine?
So i dropped everything. Confused missing boyfriend (he went off hiatus with a reason that he needs to think ?), unfamiliar faces, unknown men and even dating apps. Shut them all and stay still. Just silence.
I realised.... that i am happy ?..

- 2018-11-19Did any one of you attended the Friso Super Play Date? Im so glad that i brought my kids there!
My elder girl and i had our first competition on egg spoon relay. Though we didnt win, i was caught by surprised of how composed she was during the competition & steadily passed the eggs to me even though it was her first time playing such games.
The Friso Journey was also easily understood by the kids, with simple graphics and touch and feel. Kudos to the Friso staff who explained each stage clearly to the kids (& of course parents too), my girl loved it and went a few rounds, with her takeaway: "i will tummy pain & poo pain pain if i dont drink well".
The home bento set making session was a test of the adults patience! It was my first time trying cute bento, & im surprised that my elder girl could actually follow the instructions patiently, but my younger one juz kept on nimbling the ingredients away. E end product was edible, though not as cute as the demo set, but we all had great fun. My girl had requested that we do more of such bento together!
Loved the activities planned out at Friso Super Plqy Date, which was suitable for both my 2 kids (1.5yo & 3.5yo) to do together. Hope to have another fun play date soon!

- 2018-11-20Last weekend, #frisosuperplaydate was held at Suntec City East Atrium. Anyways.. he won!! He also played around with lil bubs around his age group making new friends on rides and the ball pit! Baby R even took his first sip of Friso Stage 3 and boy.. HE LOVED IT!!
Hopefully Friso will come up with more playdates like this again ?

I wished Kaylee could have participated in the diaper dash too (p.s she haven’t learn to crawl). But we still enjoyed it alot, just look at how happy Kaylee is! The friso staff and photographer were so entertained by her ? We even won the #FrisoFamilyGoals Photo contest & got a Skiphop bag. Thanks again TAP & FrisoSG for the amazing weekend! - 2018-11-21I suspect my Daughter has a sucking issue. Seems like she does not suck well. But she does breastfeed well. I’m teaching her to take the bottle but she does not know how to suck. She just bites on it. I’m stress, I’m going back to work soon. I’ve been trying for a month already but it is not working. Can I bring her to polyclinic to check?
- 2018-11-21Shanayah, my soon to be 2yrs old is expecting a baby Sister in January. She has started to be protective of her mummy and has been by her side whenever mummy is around. Came to a point where even daddy was not allowed to be close to mummy. Time to put a stop to it and let her realise that she will not be forgotten. This is what I have been doing for the last 2 months.
1) Constantly remind her that there is a baby in mummy’s tummy. A new Friend for her to play with but mummy needs to see to new baby THEN to Shanayah .( Breastfeeding)
2) Get her to talk to Baby in the tummy whenever daddy is talking to baby too.
3) Let her help out in choosing clothes and toys for little Sister.
4) Buy at least 1 item for her whenever we buy stuff for No2 so Shanayah don’t feel left out.
Hope this helps Fathers who are in my shoes.
- 2018-11-21Took the 3 kids to Friso Super Play Date last week. Besides having lots of fun with Little Tikes Toys and the Ball Pit in the Play Zone, they also learnt about the Friso Digestion Journey, through an interactive, educational guided walk-through. They were also kept busy with Crayola Colouring, Friso Play House, Face Painting, Balloon Sculpting, Muse Arts Music, Banana Smoothie with Frisomum, and Milk Sampling Booth, while waiting for the wait list for the Bento Workshop to be activated. While the kids were having fun and learning, the adults learnt some useful tips from the various Workshop activities held too.
Happy and thankful for a generous Goodies Bag with useful items for LOs, a Skip Hop Back Pack won from the #FrisoFamilyGoals Photo Contest, and a KiddiMoto Foldable Scooter won from the Egg Spoon Relay.
Looking forward to more of such fun and educational #Frisosuperplaydate, that caters for kids young and old, in the near future.

- 2018-11-22I'm thinking of divorce frm hubby. We don't see eye to eye anymore. He lies to me, hides things. Doesn't Wana save up in our savings or kids. Still Wana enjoy drinking with his frens. Doesn't Wana bring me along. I think he only love our kids. The love between us has long died off. Doesn't help with housework much. Only wen he did something wrong n Wana make amends temporarily. Change is within ourselves. We're both hard headed. Wat for retain this kind of marriage if it's full or arguments, negativity. I know I play a part too. But we disagree on so many things even teaching our kids he doesn't Wana help but scolds me if I bring out the cane. But he gives money every month to me but dats it. Too ego n thinks he's a king with the way he was brought up- pampered. We went counseling b4 n they say its teamwork but he is bent on his way. So am I. Wat do u think??

- 2018-11-23Hi parents, I’m a father of a 6 weeks old baby boy. I would like to find out if it is best practice to attend to my baby every time he cries?
During the first month, my wife and mother in law were extremely attentive. For instance when my boy wets his diapers and starts crying, they would rush to change it and soothe the baby.
On the other hand, I am more calm and would still do the necessary while allowing the baby to cry for a little bit (20-30 seconds more). Being a first time parent, I thought that it’s best that I’m careful with administering the need and am unfazed by the crying.
Perhaps because of that my mother-in-law thought that I was inexperienced and hence tended to the baby herself most of the time, which upset me a little. But I acknowledged she had good intentions.
After baby’s first month, mother-in-law moved out and went back to her place. It’s now my wife, baby and myself. And boy - I feel like a man and a daddy now! Though there is less help, more inconvenience and less sleep every night, I feel much happier.
My boy is on his 6th week now and he still cries. The question I would like to ask is: should I still attend to my child every-time he cries?
This is my current protocol:
1. Check if baby is hungry, meal time
2. Check if baby has soiled his diapers
3. Check if baby is feeling uncomfortable (warm, sleeping position)
If any of the three is present, administer immediately calmly.
If the none of the above is present,
1. Check if there is likelihood of stomach ache, colic
If yes, administer some form of massage, carrying the baby around the house, skin to skin touch
if no, allow the baby to cry (threshold 10 minutes), and afterwards soothe the baby.
If crying still happens after soothing, repeat 10 minutes threshold of crying.
I tried doing that over the past two nights and my observation is that my boy sometimes gradually stops crying and goes to sleep on the 8th minute.
I noticed that there are two types of crying
A) baby has an immediate need
B) baby wants skin to skin time, to be comforted and to be carried around by wife and this sometimes prevents her from having proper rest and doing house chores
When only situation B happens, that is when I will practise the 10 minutes threshold crying. My objective is to allow the baby to learn to self soothe as well as not to “spoilt” my baby by giving him what he wants immediately.
Parents, kindly advise if my approach is appropriate and I would love to hear how I can do this better.

He has been sleeping in a cocoonababy, which seems to be working as he sleeps longer. Tried to slightly block him from turning right with adding padding under his sheet , but he doesn’t seem to settle to bed when i tried to do so.
Should i be worried for a long term effect? Any advice? All i did now is to turn his cot around so facing us on his left.
