Would mummies give stir-fried food to a 2 year-old? That is the quickest dinner I can fix after a long day at work. But wondering if it's healthy enough for a child. Please advise.

Stir-frying is actually considered a healthy cooking method compared to deep frying. http://www.eatrightontario.ca/en/Articles/Cooking/Food-Preparation/-How-to-make-a-healthy-stir-fry.aspx#.Vp9_ACp9670 There are tons of healthy stir fry recipes suitable for children. Since time is priority, try to do one dish stir fries which your child can enjoy. http://www.annabelkarmel.com/recipes/easy-chinese-recipe-sesame-beef-stir-fry The fact that you insist on cooking for your child at home is commendable. Don't beat yourself up over it.

Stir fried vegetables have more nutritional value than steamed or boiled ones because they are cooked for a shorter period of time. If you wish to stir fry you can always go for healthier options like olive oil or coconut oil, oyster sauce that is low in sodium or just reduce the salt that you usually would have put. It's so much better than eating out!

It is perfectly alright if you feed your child with stir-fried food once a day. In fact, a two year old can easily develop the habit of sharing family food. Though you must keep a check on the nutritional value of the food. I give stir friend veggies to my kids, provided less salt (it has always been) and not overcooked. 🙂

Stir fried is always better than fried food. So it’s okay to give it to a 2 year old.

Pwede naman po. Dagdagan niyo nalang sarsa tas top sa rice hehe

thanks

I do so too. Just use less oil and salt

Yes just limit the oil and salt
