I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks, and had my first gynae scan at 6 weeks pregnant as the machine can't really detect anything smaller than that. Sac, fetus and heartbeat was already visible. It'll be good to go after you test positive. You can try Clearblue's digital test kit for an estimate of how many weeks along you are.

How much po ito and wer available?

About 8 to 10 weeks will be a good time. Otherwise it may be pointless as the ultrasound may not be able to detect the presence of the sac and you would have wasted your consultation. Some experienced mummies only do their first visit at 12 weeks to save some money.

I think 8 weeks is the correct time because I went there when I was 6 weeks and the Dr told me that he can't detect the heart bit of my baby I must come back when I'm 8 w I was so worried I went back to him when I was 10 w and everything was fine

Normally around 8 weeks can see through transabdominal ultrasound scan. For me, I manage to see baby around 6 weeks through transvaginal ultrasound scan and detect heartbeat.

If you're eager, you can go at about 6 weeks. Sac, fetus and heartbeat was detected in my endovaginal ultrasound scan at 6 weeks. http://radiopaedia.org/articles/gestational-sac
