Syrup paracetamol may be given 4-6 hourly when necessary up to a max of 4 doses in 24 hours. Don't give it to baby under 3 months. For babies between 3-6 months give 60 mg or 2.5 of 120mg/5 ml strength. Above 6-12 months give 90 mg or 3.75 ml of 120mg/5ml strength. Above 12 months -24 months give 120 mg or 5ml of 120mg/5ml strength. Above 24 months and up to 48 months 150 mg or 6.25 ml of 120mg/5ml strength

Unless you know the dosage of the baby needed for paracetamol, it is not advisable to self-medicate. To be safe, you can get the paracetamol from PD's clinic without seeing the PD. The nurse will weigh your baby and dosage of paracetamol will be given based on your baby's weight. In a way it can help to save doctor's consultation fees if the baby only has fever symptoms.

As paracetamol is an over the counter drug, it can be given without a doctor's visit. http://sg.theasianparent.com/fever-treatment-for-children-remedies-for-fever-in-children/

syrup paracetamol should be given by ur baby’s weight. Download apps for the paracetamol dose if u are not so sure.

Would advise against self medication even for paracetamol. When in doubt do give a call to your pd or family Dr.
