This is from the TMC website (http://www.thomsonmedical.com/what-to-bring-for-your-stay/): For maternity patients, please bring along your: • personal nightgowns (front-open types for easier breastfeeding) • maternity brassieres • cardigan or dressing gown • bedroom slippers • sanitary belt (optional) • sanitary towels (optional) • polythene bags (for your soiled linen) Note: It is advisable to have a bag ready with these necessary items packed 2 to 4 weeks before estimated delivery date. We will provide the following for your newborn baby: • baby vests • disposable diapers • baby wipes • a baby bag • wrapping blanket Basic toiletries throughout your stay with us will be provided. However, you may also like to bring along your personal clothing, cosmetics and toiletries for a more comfortable stay. You are advised against bringing large sums of cash or valuables. You can also add into your checklist: - ICs (yours and your husband’s to be used during registration) - Receipts from pre-delivery expenses (for submission to claim Medisave, if applicable. For more information: https://www.moh.gov.sg/content/moh_web/home/costs_and_financing/schemes_subsidies/Marriage_and_Parenthood_Schemes.html) - Cord Blood Kit - Sweaters (for you and your husband) - Music player (to soothe the nerves and calm the atmosphere) - Toiletries (if you prefer to use your own) - Disposable panties (for convenience) - Camera/videocamera - Contact number of confinement lady (if applicable) Hope this helps!
Well i give birth in tmc i only bring 2 sets of clothings and my charger and other important document for registration. Don't have to pack too much as most of the things are being provided and if you're having csec most probably able to walk on second day and if strong enough manage to bath and change and third or fourth days will be discharge. Bur if you are normal delivery you will discharge the next day or so. And other than that they provide maternity pad, breast pad and toothbrush and stuff which is enough . And if you give birth in 2016 there's a luggage which have some essential stuff whuch is useful. As for baby stuff , they also fully provide and everything is already being charge. So please do not overpack your stuff if not on the day of discharge you will have to carry alot of things home. As TMC really give quite alot freebie and just in case friends or relatives who visit give some gifts or hamper then really alot to carry .
