Tucking kids in to bed - do mummies and daddies do this together or take turns? Is there anything else besides telling a bedtime story that would work for this special time together?

For my older kid, I will write diary with her (to understand more how she feels in the day) and tell bedtime story. Sometimes I will sing song for her too. For young kid, I will repeat to him what has happened in the daytime, e.g. today we went to zoo we saw types of animals etc.. and ending with a simple story book. For newborn, i just do a baby massage before bedtime. For my husband, he will try his best to tuck all kids in bed one by one whenever he back from work early, normally during weekend. But every night without fail, he will apply lotions for the kids before he going bed himself.
