Thank you po! #firsttimemom #breastfeeding

Hi! It’s great that you’re thinking ahead about storing breast milk. If you don’t have access to a fridge, using a styrofoam cooler with ice packs can work as a temporary solution. Just make sure the ice packs are kept cold and that you’re storing the milk in clean containers. It’s also important to check the temperature regularly to make sure the milk stays at the right level for safe storage. You can definitely start pumping and storing milk — as long as it stays cool, your milk will be fine. Once you get back home and have access to a fridge, you can store it there for longer periods!

I totally get the situation you're in. When I had my baby, we also stayed in the province for a while and didn’t have a fridge. What I did was use a styrofoam cooler with ice packs to store my breast milk. It worked okay for short-term storage — just make sure you’re replacing the ice regularly to keep the milk cold. It’s not ideal for long-term storage, but it should be fine for a few hours or a day at a time. Once you're back home and have access to a fridge, it will be easier to store your milk safely. You’re doing great planning ahead for your breastfeeding journey!

Hey, congratulations on your pregnancy! Using a styrofoam cooler with ice packs can work temporarily, but just be cautious. Ice packs will only keep the milk cold for so long, and if they melt, the milk can warm up quickly. It’s best to replace the ice every few hours. If you plan to store more than just a few hours' worth of milk, you might want to check if there’s a pharmacy or local service that rents mini-fridges or freezers. That way, you can safely store your milk while you're away from home. I know it’s not ideal, but you’ll make it work — good luck!

You can definitely use a styrofoam cooler with ice packs to store your breast milk if there’s no fridge available. It’s a good temporary solution, especially if you don’t have a lot of space to store milk. Just make sure the cooler is tightly sealed and that the ice packs are regularly replaced to keep the milk cool. Keep in mind that breast milk can stay safe in a cooler for about 24 hours. Once you’re back home and have access to a fridge, you’ll be able to store your milk more long-term. It’s awesome that you’re planning ahead for your milk supply!

Hi there! I’ve been in your shoes, and I totally understand how tricky this can be. When we stayed in the province without a fridge, I used a styrofoam cooler with ice packs, just like you're thinking. It worked for short-term storage, but I made sure to check the ice and replace it often. The key is to keep the milk at a safe temperature. Once you're back home and have a fridge, you’ll have more options for storing it. You’re doing great planning ahead — I’m sure you’ll figure it out and do awesome with pumping and storing!

I understand the concern — when there’s no fridge, it can be tricky to store breast milk. Using a styrofoam cooler with ice packs can actually work well for short-term storage. Just make sure the milk stays cold and that you’re storing it in clean, airtight containers. You can keep it in the cooler for about 24 hours. Once you’re back home and have a fridge, it’ll be much easier to store your milk long-term. Don’t stress, mama, you’re doing a great job planning ahead for your baby’s needs!

No need to pump early, it's not recommended upto 6 weeks post-partum para maiwasan ang oversupply and mastitis. Thank you po! 🤗

Good luck sa breastfeeding!
