Is it ok to give fruits like honeydew, grapes etc to babies? Older generations say that these are 'cooling' fruits. Telling me not to give first till they are older as it will cause phlegm and cough.

I personally think fruits in general are ok. But some fruits tend to be overly sweet and phlegm-inducing in my opinion like bananas somehow, so I intro once and then I stopped. I stopped because the phlegm was somehow rather apparent. (also likewise for myself as an adult). I gave my 1yo fruits like dragonfruit (pretty tasteless to some folks) and papaya and mangoes and avocados. Grapes and honeydew I think are fine. Just peel skin of grapes to play safe? Cut to small pieces and small chunks?

it's ok to give fruits! Too much fruits = sugar = phlegm. Just make sure it's the correct portion and serving

I will say moderation is the key. I gave my children all kinds of fruits and vegetables every meal.

Not grapes unless they are sliced properly as they are choking hazards
