Same my 3.5yrs old girl still not potty train yet, but her younger young was able to do it at 3 yrs old. I guess different phase and not ready yet. I tried all the methods you mention, nothing works. She doesn't even say she urine or poo in her diaper or even she was wearing the training pants. I having such a headache as there are pressures from the in laws and husband. I also borrow books and videos to educate her, nothing works. I'm still slowly trying to wean her off diaper. I read article saying 3 days fool proof method, it also don't work. I think must find the cause. I know why my girl is not ready yet cause she has no confidence and she is scare she will get scolded if she say she pees or poos cause the father has no patience and scolded her quite badly the other time. She is afraid to say now, so I'm using all my patience to guide her to speak up. Jiayou mummy..hopefully we will see the light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Be patient and don’t stress your child too much. I started letting my girl go diaperless at home when she’s almost 2yo. Only wear diaper when sleeping, go school and out. Will then bring her to try and pee every 30mins and then later on extend to hourly and so on. Till she is ready and know how to tell us when she wanna pee or poop. She’s 2.5yo now and can go toilet her own alrd. She’s also not wearing diaper to school and for sleeping alrd. But do note that it’s very different for every child. So try to help your child build up the confidence first. Get her to follow you to the toilet everytime u wanna pee, that might increase her curiosity to pee in the toilet bowl.

My Son just turned 4 this year.. He also just toilet train this year.. He at home very lazy.. Don't Wan take out his diaper.. Only starting from Jan he went N2.. He start going toilet his own.. School is one of the best place to train.. Cause all children is have their different mind set.. My 2 elder girls don't need me worry in the past.. They toilet train fast except for my younger boy.. Don't worry.. Different kids toilet train toilet age.. Just like their first walk.. First talk.. First crawling.. All different timing..

Thank you!

Hi, Mommy! I understand your concern. I believe, potty training isn't about how good the parents are in training their kid/s. It's about the child in training. It's his/her readiness that really matters. As parents, we need to be as understanding, patient and supportive as we can be. I blogged about how my daughter potty-trained herself. Hope you can glean some insights here: http://pinionsandplumageoflove.blogspot.com/2014/08/how-my-daughter-potty-trained-herself.html.

I bought a potty and kid's toilet seat. they end up collecting dust. They only use the toilet as it is.. Is she showing interest in doing things that you do.. imitating adults? You can try the "Follow like mummy" method.. My kids follow me to the toilet and observe me too. so I started with asking, "Do you want to pass urine or pass motion on the toilet bowl just like me?" It works tho it takes time.

Like what the rest have mentioned, potty training is one of those things that really cannot be rushed and mostly dependent on your child's readiness. Going to school may help as she will see how the other children are going to the toilet independently. This may give her some confidence to try. Good luck!!

Be patient and calm. If a child is scratched by a cat or bitten by a dog, they are naturally going to be afraid of all dogs and cats until they learn to differentiate between friendly and not so friendly animals. If you yell, force or take a negative attitude, they’re going to view the potty as their enemy.

Dear mummy Ara, Have you tried let her diaperless to train her pee and poop? Use a few days stretch to train. If she wanna pee, bring her to toilet and remind her that is the place to pee because she is a big girl already. Do not wear the cloth diapers anymore for her else she will confuse again.

I let her wear panties. But she still doesn't tell me if she needs to pee or poop. She usually tells me when she's wet the floor or pooped her underwear already. When I bring her to the toilet we stay there for 10-15 minutes and wait it out until she's r

4 is really quite late. You should start ASAP. I would just go cold turkey and have her throw away her cloth diapers and tell her from now on she’s a big girl and she’s graduating to Panties. Be positive even if she has an accident and never shout at her because of it. Good luck mama

Tried the soft approach but didnt work, so took the hard approach... my child had to sleep on the floor whenever he pees on the bed without diapers
