Hey mummy don't worry as many mummies here have assured. Your toddler is only 14 months old and every baby has their own pace to develop. Some babies only walk at the age of 18-20 months and it's pretty normal. Moreover because your baby is a premie, some babies who are born prematurely may be take a longer time to be ready to walk. Try not to rush him as he may sense your disappontment when he fails to walk and it may end up slowing him down. How to encourage your baby to walk if he is already standing? -strengthen back muscles with tummy time -practice balancing -engage in games to make baby crawl faster and build hand and leg muscles -encourage him to reach for things -place furniture along baby's path of guide him with your hands it he's afraid of falling -know where to provide support for baby -use push toys -go barefoot http://m.newkidscenter.com/How-to-Encourage-Babies-to-Walk.html

Every child develops at a different pace. Some start walking as early as 9 months and as late as 17 months. Do bring it up to the doctor if your child has not started toddling by the age of 14 or 15 months. Since your baby is a premie, there might be adjustments for his milestones as well. http://www.babycenter.com/0_your-childs-walking-timeline_10357004.bc http://sg.theasianparent.com/why-cant-my-child-walk-on-her-own/

Not to worry mummy. The normal range for babies to start walking is 9 - 18 months. Babies will start walking once they are ready.
