Hi mummies, my nanny gives my girl a bit of water to drink after feeding formula. Is that alright? She said it's because to formula is heaty and also to clean baby mouth.

Definitely no... But... My PD told me if you hear phlegmy breathing for a young baby, 1ml of water can be given to clear throat. This is because baby throat and nasal are bery narrow espnthose below 3 mth. But Just 1 ml ok!

Please don't. Your baby's kidney is still not capable to handle so much fluid. You can read this: https://sg.theasianparent.com/when-to-give-baby-water/web-view?utm_source=search&utm_medium=app

For 5days old no need to give water so often .. for cleaning mouth u can clean it while doing bath , no need everytime

Can’t. The doctor said that the baby tummy is too small and water will waste the space. It should be for milk

My child about one week. I only use water and clean my child tongue.
