Is your baby encountering the same?

Hello mummies. Just a concern. My soon to be 11 month old baby is pretty afraid to lay down and get her diapers changed. This is not the first time. I gave her entertainments, yet she still cry in fear. In any diaper changing room in any mall happens the same. Is this a concern or is she having claustrophobic? At home with closed doors she is okay.

Totally not claustrophonic. Just know that we’re the same. And most babies around that age can NEVER lay down to get diaper change mainly because theyre very very mobile and active. I started changing my bb’s fiaper while he’s standing starting 10m cause he always scream and cry whenever we lay him down. Even in malls. Dont worry its very very normal.

I don't think it's claustrophobia, but more likely just disliking to lay down coz they're at an age when they can stand. Mine yells his head off when I put him to lying down position coz he doesn't like lying down haha. Offer the kid a toy or something to distract them with, like a clean diaper or whatever u have lying around

I always do but she rejected it all 🥹

Same issues. Hence i alway bring stroller inside to lie down or let him stand up to change. Alternatively, u can give her fav toys or snacks to hold while u change.

I don't think so it's claustrophobia. some baby just not comfortable when they re not in the comfort zone. is ok, awhile later will be better with more exposures

I hope so too! 🥹

My baby is 10+ months now and she hates lying on her back too.. keeps wanting to flip and crawl. Just have to keep finding things to entertain 🥲

Sometimes she does too!

Try offering her a teether cracker. It works for my LO who recently hate laying down on her back for a diaper change.
