Do you let your family eat banana ketchup? Also, what is it made of, and why do we only have it here in the Philippines? I'm afraid it's full of preservatives and artificial coloring.
Magbasa paI've had a preeclampsia scare when I was pregnant so I I I was adviced to keep sodium to a minimum and this includes even lessening the use of condiments like patis, toyo and even ketchup. 2 tbsp of catsup already takes about 20% of the recommended sodium intake of a pregnant woman daily. How much more if you add all the other foods that contain so much sodium? If you can limit it, that will be great. In moderation, just like what's adviced above.
Magbasa paour family loves banana ketchup! it's literally made with bananas, and yes, it does have preservatives and artifical coloring. from what i know, they started making it due to a shortage of resources during ww2. and as with all things, banana ketchup would be fine in moderation. if you're worried about it, then you can just get regular tomato ketchup instead. :)
