Pediped, See Kai Run and Stride Rite are popular and good brands for toddlers learning how to walk. It's important that the shoes have a non slip base which grip the floor well so your child won't slip and fall when the floor is slippery. Children love running about, so a non-skid base is necessary. Stride Rite http://www.striderite.com/en/home Pediped http://www.pediped.com/ See Kai Run http://www.seekairun.com/

1st training shoes should be soft base and non-slip instead of hard base. Pediped is a good brand for walker shoes.
