Tell your parents you need them to support your authority in disciplining your toddler. Toddlers are very smart. My Son is kind of similar to your Son... he knows grandparents are more lenient to him. But we managed to get our parents to listen to us/ respect us when we teach or discipline him. Not easy as my toddler will still run to them and whine and beg... whereas he doesn't do that to me. Honestly it's v hurtful when the toddler seems to prefer the grandparent. That's why I quit my job to be SAHM for now .. to spend more time with him...

talk to ur parents. nicely. it's understandable that grandparents are always submissive to their grandkids. eventually he's ur kid and if all fails change a caretaker.

Have you tried discussing this with your husband? He should be the one leading this discussion along with you on dealing the parent.
