For me I would recommend sippy cup instead of the real cup itself . 9mths child barley can hold cups steadily . I'm sure there will be lots of spills . But if mummy is ready for it , no harm trying

My baby starts drinking from a cup since she was 6 months old. She doesn't want to drink in a baby bottle. She starts sipping with a straw at 7 months old.

My baby started at 6months in a weighted straw cup then transition to 360 cup. And now she's 8months old she can drink in a regular straw and in an open cup.

i trained my baby na painumin sya sa open cup since 6 months, ngaun mag 9 montha n sya, kaya nya n magdrink on his own search nyo lang s shoppee mga mamsh ung "360 open cup"

Don't need train one, they auto will learn to drink when they're ready or feel like so, there's no early or late

My baby drink from a cup when she started to eat solid food. So that, my baby dont know how to drink sippy straw. I try to train her. But i failed.

Mine never drank from a bottle or sippy cup. Purely breastfed then when she started eating solids at 6 months, we let her drink water straight from a cup.

Same here. Worried coz sometimes he just plays with the water in the cup.

U can use a soppy straw and slowly remove the cap and straw. Important is keep using a same cup. Then he knows it’s his water. Be patient on transitioning

It depends on individual. Some babies starts fast and some slow. U must also see and ensure that baby is ready for it else it would be a stress for them.

I dun think it’s too early to train. Now whenever I drink water from the cup, he wants to have a share in it, so I take the opportunity to let him learn.
