Anemic - 11 weeks

Hi my gynae just called to inform me that I’m slightly anemic, and they asked my husband to test for anemia too. Is this normal?

They are testing to see if both of you are thalassaemia carriers. Don’t worry too much and have him go for the test first. Based on the results, they will counsel you appropriately:)
