If you have decided, can let your gynae know before you deliver. But most probably on the day itself, the nurses or team doctor will ask you again. That's because your gynae will only be around much later when your cervix is fully dilated.
Actually u dun need the epidural before the contraction starts . Some people need it immediately, whereas some need it only after 3-4cm dilated . Even some dun use epidural at all, they provide the gas which helps too
I think u can let your gynae know beforehand. But i rmb the nurse ask me when i was in delivery suite at KKH. If you dont wish to take, they will continuously ask if u wish to take. So dont have to worry
I only decide after going through 6 hours of contraction pain. Anesthesiologists came within 30mins. No difference in price for me. Given birth in TMC
U can inform them to standby just in case u want it I did that - not in kk though But didn’t use it Went natural all the way
Good to inform early, so that Gyane and hospital can make the necessary arrangements to prevent surprises.
In kkh, just inform them on that day, because the anaesthetist on call will come and do it for you:)
Yes - can pre-empt them to prepare as it won't be immediate. Need to call for anaesthetist
I booked my anesthesiologist weeks before my due date🙊
Any time also ok. Change mind also ok.
