Well! If it does, what can be a better news for kids. There are reports that contradict the common practise of not eating ice-creams when one has cold, but then the things that one should immediately follow, like having water as soon as one has ice-cream and others, are way too complicated and something that we won't do. So, I think it is better to be safe than sorry., and better avoid eating anything cold, be it ice-cream when you are or the baby is having cold. Reports and studies give logic and example to tell that not having ice-cream when having cold is a myth, but personally I would like to stay with the myth. But yes you can go through this link and make up your mind. Check out the second link too and it will give you pros and cons of both and you can opt the right thing. http://dssmythbuster.blogspot.in/2015/03/does-ice-cream-can-cure-cold-and-cough.html http://www.newkidscenter.com/Eating-Ice-Cream-When-Sick.html

While most people will immediately say no, the answer is, eating ice cream when sick with a cold and cough can actually have some benefits as well as side effects. Ice cream can reduce inflammation and temporarily soothe a sore throat. However, if you do not drink water immediately after, it could leave behind residues of sugar in your throat, which again can worsen your swelling. If you have a cold and your nose, throat areas are already inflamed, then I wouldn't recommend ice cream because of the sugar - it can irritate the throat further.

Such things have a different impact on different people. But in general, it is a myth that icecream cures cold or cough. It sure does treat acidity.

no...it doesn't. it's only given if u undergo some surgery in the throat or nose

i think it really depends. everyone has their own school of thought.
