Usually by week 20, your gynae will be able to determine if your baby had got DS by the bone structure. During my 15 weeks scan, my gyane able to detect nasal bone on my baby which is one of the bone that is lacking in DS child. Your gynae will keep a lookout on all these tell signs to have a better judgement. =)

If you are worried about delivering a child with DS. Better to take test. If not, its ok, just eat healthy and boost your folic acid during early pregnancy. For my case, i didnt go for those tests.

Doc did asked which tests we wanted to go with, one of them u can do it when u r abt 10 weeks into pregnancy, another one is 20 weeks

Doctor will conduct test on newborn to check for overall health of baby and you will be informed if baby has DS

Yes, your gynecologist will inform you if tests indicate that you have a DS baby

Yes a PD doctor normally run a few tests on the baby.
