Do you like names that can be shortened?

Yes I do! I think it can be adorable and at the same really convenient for other people especially if they are not too familiar with certain names and pronunciations e.g. ethnic names. For example, my full name is Idzafarhane and I go by Idza for as long as I can remember simply because it's convenient.

Yeah, I like the the names which after shortening sound good, because people have this habit of shortening the name and after that if you name does not sound good you don't feel very good about it. The other way can be keep the names so short that your actual name becomes your nick name.

Definitely!! It makes you feel more attached to the person and also has a possibility of creating lot of future stories :) I tend to remember the name better if the name can be shortened. Also, one has to make sure that shortened names does not end up meaning something totally weird.

Yes... for all my kids I choose those names that can be shortened so that it's easier to be called. I find a name is unique if can be shortened. My daugther's shortened name is Hana and my boy's shortened name is Jae-

I do. I think that having short names creates additional connection or bond. ;) Especially when you just recently met the person, it is more likely to remember her short name than her real name.

I would rather their name to be short and simple. For practicality in future, like filling up exam papers and legal forms. Lol. And 99% of the time, those long names will be shortened anyway.

Yes. Shortened name is easier to call and minimalize misspelling. I give my baby name with full consideration of the shortened version. I make sure even its short, it still have meaning :)

Yes, I do. Its really sweet when family and friends call you by your short names. Though would not like everyone calling by short name only people who are close.
