My friends did not gift their respective parents with physical gifts but instead, they decided to bestow their children with their grandparents' names as middle names. They have two kids (a boy and a girl) and each child has two middle names -- the girl has her grandmothers' names and the boy, his grandfather's names. Curious why you would need to give your parents a gift, when you are the one who went through the 9 months journey and labour...

Isn't the baby the biggest and the most precious gift one could ever give. Rather grandparents should be gifting the new mother.
