Yes, but depends on the seriousness of the matter(eg stealing). Kids are still in a learning stage, we should be patient and communicate effectively with them.

Please do not beat your kid, It is ideally not a good practice to point there mistake. Choose a rather verbal form to do it

No, I don't. I take a minute to regain my composure and try to discipline him in a way that is both fair and effective.

I will talk to them first. If they are so stubborn and keep throwing tantrum, i may bring out the cane.

No never. But I have slapped her once for running out on to the street with moving vehicles.

I try not to. I usually explain to her why I'm angry etc. It's difficult I know...
