Second Time Mum After 10 Years!
2.5 year old frequent night terrors
Hi really need abit help here. My 2.5 yr old has been experiencing somewhat like night terrors almost every night. She will start yelling n crying v loud sometime between 3-6am (depending) almost every night. If we are lucky, cuddling calm her down enough to go back sleep while some nights can be really bad when she goes into full hysterical meltdown n just cry n yell non stop and nothing can stop her except a bottle of milk. After milk she will still moan n cry a while but will fall sleep shortly. Sometimes she say she's scared but she can't tell us of what so we think it's night terrors but we can't be sure. We have minimised screen time before bed and she doesn't really have problems falling asleep but I think she's getting below the amount needed (max 11h a day) since she doesnt sleep well. Anyone has similar experience can share what helped? Anything we can do or should we bring her for sleep studies??? Feel so helpless and exhausted đ©
10 month old refusing sleep
Hi I need help. My LO started to wake up few times in the night just crying and sitting or standing in the cot. We usually manage to put her to bed by 9pm but she will wake up numerous times starting anytime from 10pm onwards. She has never really slept through the night, she will wake up around twice and goes back to sleep after milk but now its really getting bad to worse. We tried changing diaper, adjusting room temperature, giving milk, cuddle and carry but nothing seems to work and she can stay up for 2-3h at night just making noise. It's like she's got too much energy and I think she's tired but she can't sleep. She also doesn't really know how to self soothe herself back to sleep when she awakes. We will try not to carry but give her the pacifier and her chouchou but sometimes really have to carry. Last night we just tried to ignore her but she went at it for close to 3h until we sat there and keep lying her back down until she finally slept. Tell me this is normal please and it will pass, I'm so worried is she overactive or isit a development thing as she's starting to walk a few steps now. Really at my wits end and I dunno what to do, can't imagine when I send her to infantcare in Dec. It's going to get worse??? đ”đ”đ”
Diaper Rash At Butt Hole Red And Raw Looking
My 7mo bb having quite bad diaper rash at butt hole and we figure it's due to her pooing 2-3 times a day as she's on solids now and full formula feed, previously was ebm. Seen pd twice and he gave antifungal cream and a stronger steroid when it came back. It gets better but later comes back again and became red and inflammed and not really responding to the cream anymore. She cries out in pain whenever she poo and we change her. Now I change her diaper every 2-3h and use the creams and desitin but not much improvement. Any good pd to recommend for diaper rash? I have concern on using steroids too much as it seems will always get better than worse. Help!
Staycation Prep
Going for 2N staycay next week and wondering how I should sterilise my pump parts and bottles. Should I bring along the sterilizer or use sterilising tablets? Or just use boiling water to scald them? Also, due to the virus now, should I bring my own portable playpen for baby to sleep in? Anything else to consider? Baby is 3 months plus. Suddenly feel like many things to bring.... ?
Struggling When Drinking Milk
My 3 month old been struggling alot lately when drinking milk. It starts out fine then when we stop her halfway to burp, trouble begins. She will yell and arch her back refuse to let us sit her up to burp. I usually then either carry her upright over my shoulder which she calms down or continue to try feeding her. Sometimes she carries on drinking but not without pulling away from the bottle after a few sucks and yell and arch back again until slowly coax her to finish. At times after struggling for some time she will cry n cry, get tired and fall asleep without finishing the bottle. On good times she will finish after like 30-45mins. What's going on? Is the teat too slow for her? I'm using 0+ and 1m+ teat now should I upsize?
Mastitis?
It started yesterday with a clogged duct on left breast which I can't seem to remove with pumping. Then evening time I developed a fever with chills. Took panadol and fever subsided but breast still pain. Today feel much better just low grade fever but it is now like generalised pain over one area of my left breast which feels painful to the slightest touch and feels hotter as well. I can't even carry my baby properly as it hurts when put her near my breast. There is a small area near nipple which is red but my breasts are soft and not rock hard. Is this mastitis and will it go away on its own? Do I need see a doc and which doc to go? GP?
3 Month Vaccinations
Is it recommended to take the 5 in 1, pneumoccal and rota virus vaccines all together at once? Wonder if it could be too much for baby to handle.
Portable Breast Pump Recommendations
Looking to replace my spectra S9+ to use in office as I find though suction is strong it is not so comfortable like the S1 which I use at home. And yield somehow is lower as well. Criteria is portable, light and relatively small and chargeable and gentle on nipples. I'm considering the below. Any reviews, especially if u have tried spectra S1 and can comment on how they compare would be great! 1. Cimilre F1 2. Cimilre S3 3. Real Bubee 4. Any other recommendation
Recommended Pd For Northeast Area
In view of the virus situation, looking to bring my baby to pd for 3 month old vaccinations instead of polyclinic. In the past for my first child we been to Anthony baby and child but waiting time too long.
Not Sure If Menses
I'm 8 weeks postpartum and 2 weeks ago I had some very light bleeding which stop in 1 or 2 days. I thought it might be my period but just 2 days ago I had very light bleeding again which only stain half panty liner, and it's like 2nd day almost nothing and 3rd day very light again. By now the lochia should be over so is this menses? But its very very little unlike before. I'm exclusively pumping btw.
