Breastfeeding and sashimi

My Bday is around the corner and I am planning to eat sashimi is it safe during breastfeeding? I've read that it is safe.. But what are your thoughts on this? #FTM #firsttimemom #sashimi #breastfeeding

yes it’s safe for breastfeeding. just not safe for pregnancy.

Does anyone had preeclampsia experience before?

I am week 26 now and doctor say I have high risk of preeclampsia abt 80% chance I had to deliver pre mature.. Does anyone have similar experience?

Yes. I had pre-eclampsia for my first two children. And of course, under high risk pregnancy for my third one at 27 weeks. Don't worry so much. Baby will be fine at the end of the day.

Severe right hip pain

Hi all, I'm wk 16 now. I have this severe right hip pain it just get so bad sometimes after sitting down I cannot get up I need to wait for a while. It felt like I've sprained my hips.. Does anyone else have it? Can I see like a tcm or doctor or something for it? I don't dare to put those medical patch since it's so near to bb. #firsttimemom #firsttimemom #pleasehelp

I had the same issue, but on my left. Even went to urgent o&g as it was too painful to walk but they didnt find anything unusual. I would usually just put ointment. You might want to go to any gynae or urgent o&g if it gets unbearable.

Week 12: pulling / bloated feeling. Lower abdomen discomfort. Is it normal?

Is it normal to have pulling and bloated feeling at lower abdomen at week 12? I'm wondering is this considered cramp? Or just discomfort? The feeling comes and goes. It especially when I move. I'm always worried it's like a miscarriage cramp or is it just my womb expanding.. #pleasehelp

Sleeping on the side during pregnancy?

I've read that you need to sleep on your sides during pregnancy preferably on the left side. And sleeping on your back increases chances of still birth. Is that true? What's your sleeping position like? I feel like it's tough to sleep on left side the whole night? #pleasehelp #firstbaby #firsttimemom

yes it’s true, especially during last trimester. this is because the weight of the baby presses on vital blood vessels that transport oxygen to baby. it’s ok if you roll onto your back in the middle of sleep, just be sure to sleep sideways at the start of the night and if you wake up, just lie back onto the side. depends on the risk wanna take? it’s not easy and i hated it, but for the sake of the pregnancy i did it. my sleeping position is always left now

What wet wipes do you use to clean your genitals during pregnancy?

As I am using progestrone inserts and could be messy is there any wet wipes you all recommend to use? I am 6 wks preg.

Normal tissue paper is fine. But in my case, i usually do not wipe it (typically no mess for me) as i want to leave it for it to absorb the residue. If there is a lot of mess, you might have too much wastage though. Try to squeeze as much as you can inside your v.

Small gestational sac, slow hcg

Hi all I am 6 wks 3 day preg today. My hcg levels were rising but not doubling previously. I did a scan at wk 5 and doc mention could see gestational sac but were smaller than expected. Another scan at wk 6 saw gestational sac(6mm) + yolk. The gestational sac measures 5wk 2 day old even though it was 6wk. Doc still say my gestational sac is too small. And is pessimistic about the situation saying I have less than 50 percent chance for a viable pregnancy. May I know if anyone has similar situation in the past with a sucessful pregnancy? Did gynae count your pregnancy from last menstrual period (LMP) or last ovulation? If it’s LMP, it’s well known to not be accurate measurement especially if you have irregular periods. Better if it’s calculated from last ovulation - if you track it diligently all these while then it is more precise measurement of the true gestational age.

Slow rising hcg with small gestational sac.

Hi have anyone done an ivf with slow rising hcg before? These are my hcg readings 12DP5ET 289 14DP5ET 449 16DP5ET 716 21DP5ET 1401 I had a ultrasound scan today (week 5 day 5) and doctor initially could not find my gestational sac but eventually found it but said it was smaller than expected. And was asked to monitor and come back again for the scan next week. Anyone have similar situations before? What are the chances for this to still be a viable pregnancy? #pleasehelp #ivfquestions #slowhcg #hcgnotdoubling

don't go to scans too early until 6weeks plus to keep your heart at ease,am also 5 weeks with my second,might go for a scan at 7-8 weeks.
