Working mothers who send your LO to infant care , what is your typical day like ? Before sending LO to infant care And after fetching LO from infant care? I'll be sending my LO to infant care soon and I'm a working mother.. Quite worried about the juggling between work and taking care of my 7 months old and worry about separation anxiety and how I'll cope with baby before and after sending to infant care

Don't worry. You must 1st prepare your baby by sharing with him that it's not that you don't wish to take care of him but had to work ao no choice but to put him at ifc. They may be very very young but they will understand you. Usually 1st 3 days are half days in ifc and you can also take this opportunity to take more and communicate with your baby. Morning will be the busier usually. If you are breastfeeding, do remember to thaw ye milk rhe night before so as to ensure he has milk to drink if you aren't latching him in the morning. Prepare the things lile his bags the night before so that you won't be like a mad woman in the morning.

Eventually I switched my kid to a childcare 5 mins drive away from my workplace becoz I find it so stressful to rush to Sengkang / Punggol from CBD to reach her school before 7pm..after switching, I can do abit more work in office, i do not need to worry about so. Late to fetch her, I can have bonding time with my Daughter during the journey to and fro either in taxi or train.. and she can also see me earlier since it's so near my work place instead of always reaching nearing 7pm and always the last few kid to be fetched 😊..

I’m planning to do that as well. As it’s really stressful to rush back home from cbd area. But can I ask how do u feed your LO as it might be quite late when you reach home for dinner. I was thinking to pre pack food so that I can feed my LO after I pick him from infant care

All things must be prepared and ready for school the night before. Morning will have to have small talk on the way to school and fetching is the same. This creates bonding and separation anxiety for both mummy and baby. Before baby enters into ifc, pls prepare him. Talk to him like you normally will. They may not know how to answer you but trust me, they understand you. Spend quality time with them and sharing with them what is gonna happen at ifc and reasons for putting him at ifc.

Dont worry. This was how i used to do it. 7am wake up, sengkang take bus to interchange. Take mrt to serangoon, then take a bus to aljunied mrt, drop off my son by about 8.45am. Take a bus back to mattart road. This whole trip took me an hour and a half. Cause i was working and living at aljunied before i shifted to sengkang. Fret not! Hugs dear.
