Why is it that my mother in law always tries to prove that newer ways of raising a child is bad? Does our learnings hold no value?

Mil has experience. Can listen as opinions/options but the decision making is done by u and ur husband :) The elderly love to say this 'Last time this and last time that'. Now u can say 'last time policemen wear shorts, now policemen wear pants'... Lolzzz..

Well. Inlaws are always like this. They will think & feel that they are always right. With their upbringing their son (our husbands) are perfectly fine. Well. All i can say is BE FIRM. Ignore them.

Is like that .. But lo is our , we say the last word ..Be firm ... Last time and this time kid are totally different.. Century change and everything change . Ignore and do what is right for your own child..

They will always say last time i do this and this. My kids are also perfectly well. Well. Just don't care. Follow ur own method. ur kid will follow u for life. Not our mils

You know it's always like that, seems like whatever we do or say are not factored and considered.

i believe they mean well after all everyone has their own school of thought too
