Why is it that my mother in law always tries to prove that newer ways of raising a child is bad? Does our learnings hold no value?

Is like that .. But lo is our , we say the last word ..Be firm ... Last time and this time kid are totally different.. Century change and everything change . Ignore and do what is right for your own child..
